@@AccessATS I know the tablemike and I know speechware pretty well as I personally own and use on a regular basis a tablemike, 3 other microphones from that brand and four different types of USB-connected sound cards. I know these are excelent products. I've been exchanging a lot with the company owners, Mr. Boccio, who knows me quite well in the end. I also know all the benefits related to the use of Dragon NaturallySpeaking compared to any other software on the market. The thing is, training the app is very slow and tiring compared to the enormous amount of data OpenAI use to train their speech to text model. And in the end results using artificial intelligence are 1000 times better, no matter the language, the way you speak, the volume, the tone of your voice or the noise around you.The result in understanding one's voice is without comparison. But as a matter of fact, and as you noted, a lot of the benefits of Dragon are for the moment unusable using solutions such as Whisper. But just so that you know, there are ways to use Whisper as a personal user. For instance, you could try the program MacWhisper, which is just amazing, really convenient and user-friendly. There also appears to be a web-based solution, which can be used too if you have no Apple Mac available. Just give it a try and you will see how great that works.

I am sorry to hear that. I have no experience of using it on the Mac platform. My experience suggests that some functionality may or may not be included.

The problem can occur anywhere along the following chain: Person ➤ Environment ➤ Quality of Phone ➤ GBoard App In my experience, the decrease in the accuracy of voice recognition software can be attributed to factors such as not speaking clearly, background noise, environmental conditions, and the quality of the phone, especially the microphone. These factors are typically the main causes of reduced accuracy. According to Gboard voice typing, accuracy improves as the software learns from individual voices, a point with which I agree based on my personal experience

Same A few years back after being frustrated with what you and I have experienced I started using SwiftKey which started going downhill about 2 years ago and became unusable, it had a dictionary you could add odd words to and it was wonderful while it lasted, none of the app store keyboards get raves anymore... Google voice transcription doesn't remember words that I spell daily and creates gibberish words or misspelled common words way too often

There is currently no way to change the speed of the narrator in Google Lens directly. However, you could try to change the speed of the text-to-speech (TTS) output for all apps on your device, including Google Lens. To do this: Open your device's Settings app. Tap Accessibility. These are usually the main cause in a decrease of accuracy. According to Gboard voice typing, the accuracy of it improves as it learns from the individual voice And I would agree with this based on my experience.

@@AccessATS I've had just about every Mac model going back to the Mac Plus little lunchbox Mac that literally changed the entire world. When Jobs left for awhile us graphic designers were terrified we'd have to change to PC's, so we bought one. PC's are like really bad copies of Macs, but ten time worse. Any outboard gear you buy you have to go hunt for "drivers," LOL. No drivers needed for Macs. Any procedure on a Mac takes ten procedures to do the same thing on a PC. PC's are great for gamers, but Macs are work horses for video production and studio recording. Even the little Mac Plus showed up in recording studios, running MIDI keyboards for real albums. I've owned 4 PC's in my life, 3 of them died. Of all the many Macs I've owned only one died in all these years and it was because it had one of the first SSD's that weren't great drives. We have about 6 old Macs lying around, we just kept up with them getting faster and faster to keep up with newest tech. These days I use an M1 Mac for youtube video production, very FAST little machine.

I am sorry of your difficulties. Unfortunately, I wouldn't have the expertise to advise on this. Even though I do enjoy karaoke myself! I hope you found a solution.

@@AccessATS I think I got a fix boys! I tried both my Rode NT USB which I usually use for voice audio and my EPOS headphones mic. Both did not work no matter what I did. But I saw the one he was using in the video (Plantronics Blackwire 3210 Series) and I have the same headphone for work so I gave it a shot and boom.. it worked! Seems to be the mic you're using is key or Windows nor Audacity are able to use specific types of audio recording hardware.
